Maybe fat transfer is an effective procedure, I can't say for sure. But breast implants are considered to be an efficient way for breast enhancement.

I am 10 days post-op having had fat grafting to my breasts and so far they look great! As of today they are a full B (overflowing 34B when I tried a "normal" bra on). They were a 32AA.

I also had a TT and lipo on the upper stomach, flanks and back. I had plenty of fat in my midsection however my breasts dwindled down to an AA after havin my son 17 years ago and of course with age(49). I used to be a 32A in my prime which was acceptable, however, they deflated to 32AA with some loose skin. However, they weren't sagging too much. I didn't have enough breast volume to make them sag. My mid-section is where I've always gained the majority of my weight. Everywhere EXCEPT my breasts. Mainly the belly, flanks and back fat. The rest of my figure is in good shape. I'm 5' 1" and 107 pounds. My plastic surgeon said I was a very good candidate for fat grafting because I'm at my ideal weight and I have enough of the fat needed to do the fat graft. I knew that The fat grafting would only add 1 to 1.5 cup sizes which was all I wanted. I only wanted them "refilled". However, I know that I will loose some of it because a percentage of the fat cells will be reabsorbed. That's okay because I'd like to end up a 32B which will be perfect for my frame.

As for any lumpiness that my come with fat grafting, my surgeon said that I should gently massage them multiple times a day which I am doing. So far I've only found 2 small lumps, 1 in each breast, but they are where the cannula was used to inject the fat. They "should" go away with massage.

So far I am ECSTATIC with my Augmentation.

I'll keep you posted on the issue with lumpiness and anything esle that may come up.

I loved my Plastic Surgeon

Great article. I'm finding that more and more women are interested in fat transfers. The idea of their own body tissue in a different area is very appealing.

yes when you lose weight you lose from the breast but its the same when you gain weight. fat will naturally go to your breast when you gain weight and after getting fat sucked from your stomach or thighs, fat usually doesn't go back there after liposuction. it's a win win, you gain weight in your breast but not your tummy or thighs. i'm a 32 a cup and am super self conscious about my chest and have done plenty of research about this fat transfer procedure and to me it's a no brainer.

Hey Chloe- The cost for this procedure can vary based on numerous factors. It's best to consult a few plastic surgeons to learn more. You may want to check out PlasticSurgery.com for information.

I've had the procedure (fat transfer) three weeks ago, can hardly see a difference to the breasts as the weeks go by. will be visiting surgeon in two weeks for check up. i think most of the fat has been absorbed back into the body. i had a mummy tummy but after lipo it has completely gone, which is great, but I went for breast augmentation so I feel very unhappy at the results. My pre op bra's still fit is was a 34b/c and still am.

My wife, of twenty four years and five children, underwent gastric bypass two years ago. She is quite literly half the woman she used to be. Now we are looking at getting the "body work" done. She has no fat to speek of and we are not comfortable with "bag" style implants. Can any body provide info on the "string" implant? We are not looking for an over night wonder fix. But rather a long term and lasting form of enhansment. We are looking at / for options before she undergoes the lift / reduction surgery.
