Once you get a taste of “BITTEN Sarah Jessica Parker,” you will want to go back for seconds! Among the celebrity clothing lines that are popping up throughout affordable retails stores (such as Vera Wang at Kohl’s, Isaac Mizrahi at Target, and Roberto Cavalli’s new collection at H&M), BITTEN proves to be a bit different. Pricing on all items fit into the range of $19.98 or less!
Featured at Steve & Barry’s chains throughout the U.S., the goal of this wonderful retail store and Sarah Jessica Parker, the celebrity designer, is to give customers the ability to purchase fashionable clothing, minus a large price tag. Parker’s catchphrase says it all, “Fashion is not a luxury, it’s a right.” Agreed!
Previously a shop for men’s casual clothes, Steve & Barry’s first real launch into women’s clothing is with BITTEN. Other famous females who have recently followed Parker’s lead and joined the Steve & Barry’s team include Amanda Bynes with her line “Dear” and Venus Williams with “EleVen.”

Aside from the amazing prices, Parker has taken into account that not all women are the same size, tailoring the clothing to fit differing body types. BITTEN features sizes XS-XXL in tops, bottoms ranging from 0-22, and sizes 5-11 in shoes. Infusing her personal style into her line, this star has developed a multitude of pieces, some of which include outerwear, sweaters, suit separates, jeans, lingerie, bags, accessories, footwear, and much more.
My co-worker and fellow Beauty Chat gal, Andrea (“Dre”), is the resident Steve & Barry’s expert here in the office. Dre has visited the store and purchased some hot trends from a few of their lines. Here’s what she had to say about her BITTEN jeans and Dear t-shirt: “The jeans are comfortable and great for casual wear, or you can dress them up for a night out. The tee is comfortable as well and goes great with the jeans. I would definitely recommend both clothing lines!”
Sarah Jessica Parker is a busy woman these days! With her perfumes “Covet” and “Lovely,” a “Sex in The City” reunion, this clothing line, and her recent appearance on “Project Runway” a few weeks ago, she seems to be dabbling in a bit of everything. And lucky for us, we can all enjoy these endeavors. To shop for her wallet-friendly, deliciously attractive line, check for Steve & Barry’s locations, and get BITTEN!
Check out this recent YouTube video featuring her line:
P.S.…You can still purchase the dress/vest duo designed by Project Runway’s Victorya, I just saw it at my local Steve & Barry’s last weekend — the Ontario Mills in the Inland Empire. The pieces look adorable worn together or separately!

I love that she thought of the shapes and sizes of all women by offering such a range of sizes. Looks like there’s a shopping trip in my near future!

No way, there’s a Steve&Barry’s at Ontario Mills? Wish I had known when I was there last week. Can’t wait to check it out; I am so happy that SJP offers plus sizes. I love Amanda, I wonder if she has clothes that would work for my tween; she’s a big fan!

Yup, there is a Steve & Barry at Ontario Mills. Too bad you didn’t know because when I was there last week they had everything for $9 (that means jeans, jackets, purses…EVERYTHING!). Maybe the sale is still on =)
Oh and Dear is perfect for tweens. Very cute/casual items.

I bought a pair of bitten jeans and a pair of dear jeans a while back. They fit amazingly for about an hour before stretching to the point that not a even a cute belt can save…it made me sad!

Since Steve & Barry’s is in Chapter 11, will Bitten be moving their line to another store and if so has anyone heard where?

Hi Lauren, so sorry I didn’t see your message until now. Yes, everything is under $10! And the shoes are pretty cute, from what I’ve seen.
Michelle, thanks for the comment as well! I hadn’t heard that Steve and Barrys was closing. When did you hear about this?!

I just bought a pair of her jeans on ebay and am excited to get them. I was reading an article about her being voted one of the most “unsexy” women, and I think that is just preposterous! She is unique and just “her”. I am amazed at how shallow some people can be. Kudos to her for being true to herself and not caving to pressure to try to look like a “cookie cutter” woman!

OH and probably everyone knows already, but someone bought Steve and Barrys out so she will not have to move her line.

I really would like to purchase the Rainy Grey Strapless Printed Dress in Dandelion and the Cap sleeve Eyelet Trim Top. Does ANYONE know where I can purchase these items? Either online or in person? I have googled and no luck. I live in Decatur, GA. Steve and Barry’s has gone out of business. Can’t get to their website. How do I purchase these itmes? Where can I find them? Any help would be great!
Thanks!

Hello Saint,
We’ve looked into where you could purchase Bitten clothing and found that they are currently looking for a new “home.” We’ll update everyone once we get more info.
Thanks for reading!

Hey Saint,
In general, for many retail stores, the merchandise is different in the store and online. If they ARE out (maybe last season or discontinued based on lack of sales for those styles), then I would call another Steve & Barry’s, and describe the item and ask if they have some similar styles or if they expect that item in soon and they can hold it for you! But it may be just be an item that you have to say goodbye to. That never feels good.
Working with a sales associate and customer service usually leads you in a great direction
Good luck!

Can anyone tell me if Jessica’s line of clothing can be ordered anywhere online? I live in Canada and probably won’t be getting across the border into the US until late this summer.
Thanks for any help, appreciate it!
