Does Daylight Savings Time Affect You? Try Aromatherapy!

Posted by Denice at 5:21 pm

The Dream Bath from Bath and Body Works' Sleep CollectionAre you ready to spring ahead on March 9th? Many are not; they dread the loss of the hour’s sleep they will incur. I know I tend to feel groggy and completely out of sorts for a few days. Some chalk it up to resembling “jet lag.”

The Harvard University HealthBeat (March 29, 2006) notes that it is very difficult for us to bounce back, and that there are a significant number of fatal car accidents on the Monday following when we turn the clocks forward. Many of us tend to feel a bit slower and experience a lack of focus and alertness.

Well, this spring there is no need to feel that way! Dr. Michael J. Breus, Ph. D., a renowned sleep doctor, offers his suggestions for a smooth transition into the new season with his book, GOOD NIGHT: The Sleep Doctor’s 4-Week Program to Better Sleep and Better Health (Dutton/Penguin, 2006), and his recommendation to incorporate aromatherapy products into your bedtime routine. Dr. Breus suggests using Bath and Body Works’ Aromatherapy Sleep Collection.

The Sleep Collection consist of Dream Bath, Body Lotion, and Pillow Mist. They each come in two aromatherapeutic scents – Lavender Chamomile and Vanilla Chamomile. These are specially formulated to help you have a better and deeper nights sleep.

For the sweet dreams you deserve, you might wanna give these a try! (I am…)

I’m game! Didn’t Daylight Saving Time use to be in May? I swear it seems earlier and earlier each year.

It sounds pretty good. I wonder if it works. If you try it out Denice let me know, maybe I will to. What does work for me is melatonin sublingual tabs. I sleep like a baby. lol
