Bath Gel by Diana B

This is the explanation of the fabulous new Green Tea Desert Grapefruit Bath Gel I have been using. The fresh, clean fragrance is amazing – I love it! How very invigorating it is to smell the grapefruit scent in the morning! It has helped to awaken my senses during my 5 a.m. shower (which is not easy to do!). That is Diana B’s passion, indulging the senses and transforming your skin. More »

Project Runway: Season 4 Finale!

Posted by Leeann at 3:32 pm

Final Collection from Project Runway contest Chris

After a season full of catwalks and catfights, Project Runway season four has officially finished its course. This year the finale consisted of two episodes, because they couldn’t fit all of the action into just one show.

If you remember from a few weeks ago, the judges couldn’t decide to send Chris or Rami to Bryant Park for New York Fashion Week. Their solution: let them both create collections and then select who has the right stuff to showcase their garments. So all four designers, including Christian and Jillian as well, were given $8,000 and five months to create a line concept to debut on a large scale to the fashion world. More »

Does Daylight Savings Time Affect You? Try Aromatherapy!

Posted by Denice at 5:21 pm

The Dream Bath from Bath and Body Works' Sleep CollectionAre you ready to spring ahead on March 9th? Many are not; they dread the loss of the hour’s sleep they will incur. I know I tend to feel groggy and completely out of sorts for a few days. Some chalk it up to resembling “jet lag.”

The Harvard University HealthBeat (March 29, 2006) notes that it is very difficult for us to bounce back, and that there are a significant number of fatal car accidents on the Monday following when we turn the clocks forward. Many of us tend to feel a bit slower and experience a lack of focus and alertness.

Well, this spring there is no need to feel that way! Dr. Michael J. Breus, Ph. D., a renowned sleep doctor, offers his suggestions for a smooth transition into the new season with his book, GOOD NIGHT: The Sleep Doctor’s 4-Week Program to Better Sleep and Better Health (Dutton/Penguin, 2006), and his recommendation to incorporate aromatherapy products into your bedtime routine. Dr. Breus suggests using Bath and Body Works’ Aromatherapy Sleep Collection.

The Sleep Collection consist of Dream Bath, Body Lotion, and Pillow Mist. They each come in two aromatherapeutic scents – Lavender Chamomile and Vanilla Chamomile. These are specially formulated to help you have a better and deeper nights sleep.

For the sweet dreams you deserve, you might wanna give these a try! (I am…)

GOT Fashion Show in San Diego — Beauty Chat was there!

Posted by Leeann at 5:47 pm

Beauty Chatter Leeann and Designer Jon Paul

Last Thursday night, Elana, Dre, and I had the privilege of attending the Girl on Top (GOT) Spring Fashion Show in the heart of San Diego — the Gaslamp District. Hosted at an ultra-trendy lounge/ bar, Thin (The Onyx Room), Jon Paul (the creator of the line, and the designer I interviewed for my past blog:“Girl On Top: Empowerment for Women”) and his models rocked the runway.

Jon Paul and GOT manager Cara Monday were gracious hosts that invited us to take in our surroundings. We were lucky enough to hang out backstage to check out all that leads up to a GOT fashion show. More »
