While I browsed through my weekly Avon catalog (yes, I am addicted to catalog shopping), I came across this simple, yet cute, bracelet. As I continued to read about it, I became more interested as to what this little bracelet stood for, Woman’s Empowerment, and helping improve the lives of women across the world.
“As honorary chair of the Avon Foundation, I’m very excited to introduce Avon’s first global charity product designed to save and improve women’s lives worldwide. Purchase the Women’s Empowerment Bracelet for yourself and your friends. It’s a symbol of unity that represents a future without limitations for all women. Show your support; show your solidarity, show off your bracelet.”- Reese Witherspoon: National spokes woman for Avon
The press release from UNIFEM (United Nations Trust Fund to End Violence
against Women) said it was collaborating with Avon to end violence against women and advance women’s empowerment. Proceeds from the bracelet will go towards programs addressing violence against women in more than 120 countries.
What a simple way to help out, and at only $3.00 per bracelet ($2.25 goes towards UNIFEM Funds) why not help? To read more about the fund, please visit the UNIFEM web site.
I received mine the other day and I love it! One of my co-workers, Stephanie, also purchased the bracelet, this is what she had to say: “Not only is the Woman’s Empowerment Bracelet simple and cute, but it makes me feel good that by purchasing it, I was able to contribute to end violence against women.”
What do you have to say, do you have yours?

I remember loving Avon as a little girl, and I am a new fan once again. I also did a post on my blog re: this wonderful thing that Avon and Reese are doing together. Power in numbers! ![]()

That is very neat. I love what the bracelet stands for, and it is great to have a daily reminder that women should fight against violence. I love Reese Witherspoon, so I am definitely going to check it out. Thanks for the review ![]()
