Brokedown Clothing is the latest brand on Beauty Chat’s fashion radar. Run by a woman who wears all of the company’s hats, from creator and designer to accountant and backer, Jodi Benavidez does it all.

Starting with hats back in the Summer of 2005, the line has now significantly expanded. As Jodi explains, “The hats were the first of my product to be seen on Jessica Alba and soon after it was seen on Paris Hilton. I think that is why Brokedown is known for our hats. However, we do hats, scarves, tees, tunics, tanks, thermals, and fleece sweat suits.” (I can testify that the scarves are amazing! They easily sass up any outfit, and I must say, the material is extremely soft.)

What a way to get a brand going!

According to Jodi, “OmniPeace’s goal is to emulate the success of Paul Newman’s company, ‘Newman’s Own,’ which has donated over 200 million dollars to charities since 1982 through the sale of consumer products.”
