“Fruit Salad,” “Purple Gummy Bear”…“Jelly Donut?” These don’t sound like your typical lip balm flavors, do they? That’s because they aren’t!

They are the creation of Beck Rustic, founder and owner of Bag Lunch. Beck was fascinated with lip balm, but felt they were mostly geared towards kids, in both flavor and packaging. So she created her own! She wanted them to be creative and carry a simple, yet stylish, look.
With lip balms remaining one of the most popular cosmetic items today, she was right in time! Being a product that you use everyday, a gal’s lip balm habit can get quite expensive. Thanks to Beck, we are free to be addicted to lip balm at a reasonable price (don’t you love that?). Beck only uses the simplest of ingredients: sweet almond oil, beeswax, shea butter and vitamin E. Also, Bag Lunch never tests her products on animals – I like that.
So of course, we had our resident Beauty Chatters try out some of these fun flavors. Here is what we thought:
Leeann – “Strawberry Milkshake”
Strawberry milkshake…mmm! The Bag Lunch flavor I selected smells delicious; unfortunately, it doesn’t taste the same. While I was expecting a yummy treat, the product fell a bit short. However, it does coat my lips well, providing protection from the toll that unpredictable weather changes can take on my pucker.

Denice – “Sugar Sprinkled Grapefruit”
I opted to try out the sugar sprinkled grapefruit flavored lip balm. I am highly addicted to any scent or flavor that is citrus, so I was sold! This lip balm smells fantastic, very refreshing. I could not locate any sun protection information (which is a key factor for me), nonetheless, I like it! So, I will be using my lip balm at my desk, and keep my lips ready for my long days work.
Brook – “Mojito Mint”
I fell in love with a mojito-flavored breath mint awhile back, so it was nice to try another personal care necessity in that flavor. Although the taste is rather subtle, Bag Lunch’s Mojito Mint lip balm had that distinct lime scent that one hopes for in a mojito, and the stick is so cute with the vintage-looking Bag Lunch logo!

Jacquie – “Red Lollipop”
The cherry flavor and smooth feel of Red Lollipop is lovely. However, I found I was constantly re-applying. This lip balm left my often dry lips feeling a little dry and craving more moisture. The more I used it the more I needed it. I really need something that supplies more moisture and protection. Now, if you ask my 3-year-old, she loves it!
Are you looking for a fun, new way to keep those lips pucker-perfect (and I don’t mean getting a lip enhancement)? Then check out what Bag Lunch has to offer. And if you don’t see a flavor you fancy, let them know, and they just may create a custom lip balm for you.
Now that’s what I call a tasty deal!
