I work for a buzzing plastic surgery marketing company. I move non-stop, all day. I spend most of my day going through countless photos of breast augmentations, and tummy tucks. I also run the customer service department. I wish I could say I stayed firmly planted in my seat, but I don’t. I run from meeting to meeting, department to department. In doing this, I tend to lose lots of pens, my keys, and occasionally my glasses.
After sending many “Anyone find my glasses?” in mass e-mails to the entire office, I figured I had to do something, and fortunately I came across La Loop. What a great find this was! La Loop is a concept that came about from Debbie Zoullad and Elizabeth Faraut. They had envisioned “a high-end, piece of jewelry with a purpose.” Following this inspiration they came up with an idea, one which has patented hinges that use a 360-degree swivel technology. This patented technology ensures that your glasses stay in one place. More »

While skimming over the news on MSN.com recently, I came across an interesting article (which they got from the Science Channel) titled “Top 10 Useless Body Parts.” Immediately, I was intrigued. I can certainly think of a few anatomical pests that I would rather live without!
According to this article, many parts that were once vital to our survival are now just unnecessary, and even troublesome. Here is the list of “useless body parts”:
10. Plica semilunaris (a third eyelid)
9. Body hair
8. Sinuses
7. Adenoids
6. Tonsils
5. Coccyx
4. Arrector pili (a muscle that makes our hair stand on end and gives us goose bumps)
3. Wisdom teeth
2. Appendix
1. Male nipples

While I browsed through my weekly Avon catalog (yes, I am addicted to catalog shopping), I came across this simple, yet cute, bracelet. As I continued to read about it, I became more interested as to what this little bracelet stood for, Woman’s Empowerment, and helping improve the lives of women across the world.
“As honorary chair of the Avon Foundation, I’m very excited to introduce Avon’s first global charity product designed to save and improve women’s lives worldwide. Purchase the Women’s Empowerment Bracelet for yourself and your friends. It’s a symbol of unity that represents a future without limitations for all women. Show your support; show your solidarity, show off your bracelet.”- Reese Witherspoon: National spokes woman for Avon More »

If you thought you’d seen all there is to see in the organic skin care arena, hold on – this one is as about as natural as it gets. Grateful Body, a Bay Area skin care company that I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know recently, takes the cake for its
socially-conscious guidelines and raw, food-grade ingredients.
What does food-grade mean? You guessed it: If you can’t eat it, it won’t go into their product. In fact, there are numerous “no’s” on the list of ingredients Grateful Body refuses to use; good “no’s,” like:

I am not a plastic surgeon, a beauty expert, or a skincare specialist — but I do know when something does not appear healthy. And right now, I’m thinkin’ of Priscilla Presley - a current contestant on “Dancing with the Stars” (on tonight!).
Check out the new column on Your New Body Blog, featuring two Beverly Hills plastic surgeons: Dr. Stuart Linder (“BodyDocBlogger”) and Dr. Robert Kotler (“FaceDocBlogger”). It’s called Tuck N’ Stitch. And I don’t know about you, but getting insider information is always helpful when celebrity plastic surgery results are questionable!
…BUT I still think she’s pretty fabulous. Here’s a recent YouTube video featuring Elvis Presley’s love on “Dancing With The Stars” during Week 1:

As a natural-born Beauty Chatter who values a healthy lifestyle, I feel obligated to tell you about my latest finding.
Recently there has been quite a buzz regarding a Google ™ project that is currently in testing: the online storage of medical records. According to Alan Newberger, a Google engineering manager, the program is dedicated to making the patient’s medical records more attainable and convenient. More »

Brokedown Clothing is the latest brand on Beauty Chat’s fashion radar. Run by a woman who wears all of the company’s hats, from creator and designer to accountant and backer, Jodi Benavidez does it all.
Starting with hats back in the Summer of 2005, the line has now significantly expanded. As Jodi explains, “The hats were the first of my product to be seen on Jessica Alba and soon after it was seen on Paris Hilton. I think that is why Brokedown is known for our hats. However, we do hats, scarves, tees, tunics, tanks, thermals, and fleece sweat suits.” (I can testify that the scarves are amazing! They easily sass up any outfit, and I must say, the material is extremely soft.)
