Last Thursday, fellow Beauty Chatters Jacquie, Leeann, and I — along with our PlasticSurgery.com co-worker Stephanie — attended Shecky’s Girls Night Out in Santa Monica. As we embarked on our two hour trip through rush hour traffic and rain, little did we know what they had in store for us at the event.
As we entered the Barker Hangar, turned fashion extravaganza, we were blown away with the number of women shoppers and vendors surrounding us. Filled with fun, drinks, clothes, jewelry, handbags, and the latest trends, Shecky’s was truly a night to remember.

Our first mission was to pick up our complimentary totes, which were filled with a variety of products for the skin, face, body, and mind. After acquiring our free goodies, we slowly made our way through the crowd of anxious fashion lovers. With items marked down 10 to 75 percent off their original prices, we tried to scout out the deals we found most alluring.
For example, one lip gloss that I purchased from a company called Sweet Cosmo was $10, normally $20 online and in stores. That is just one of the marvelous deals that Shecky’s retailers had to offer, and why I will go back next year for more.Spending at least two hours at the event, making sure to cover each and every merchant, the girls and I definitely enjoyed ourselves as we picked up a few trinkets.
While we were browsing the selection of items being sold, we noticed some very important details that we thought we should share with you.
Trend Alert #1: There was a cool, new style in the making at Shecky’s — stones. On necklaces, bracelets, and earrings, stones draped several jewelry pieces from numerous vendors. From turquoise to jade, beautiful and dazzling gems were all the rage.
Trend Alert #2: Also very popular was real and fake leaves hanging from necklaces. Dipped in sliver and gold, and coming in all shapes and sizes, leaf necklaces were the must-have of the night.

A place to relax with your girlfriends, while doing some damage on the pocket books and catching the next emerging fashions, Shecky’s offered all of us something different.
After the eventful evening, here’s what the girls and I had to say:
“The Shecky’s Girls Night Out event was awesome! There were so many vendors with adorable items. I tried to keep my spending to a minimum and only bought one necklace (which is so fabulous), but now I wish I would have bought more. It is definitely something I want to attend again next year!” ~ Leeann
“The Shecky’s Girls Night Out was an exciting event to attend. It was well worth the 15 dollars. We received a goodie bag packed with fun new products! From clothing to beverages, there was something for everyone. I look forward to next year!” ~Jacquie

“I really enjoyed Shecky’s Girls Night Out, I wish there had been a little better variety when it came to shopping, but over all it was a lot of fun. Our tickets entitled each of us to receive a goodie bag packed full of fun stuff, including lotions, lip balm, toothpaste, face wash, and a book. I would definitely recommend this event to others, and I look forward to going again next year.” ~ Stephanie
“Wow! Shecky’s Girl’s Night Out was a blast! As soon as we entered the event, my eyes shifted to the numerous clothing, makeup, jewelry, and handbag vendors that had engulfed the area. With a little something for everyone, Shecky’s Girl’s Night Out is something that everyone should go to at least once. It’s definitely a destination for those fashionistas looking for the latest trends out there. I know I’ll be sure to attend again next year, as well!” ~ Sarah

Yay, sounds like you guys had fun and I’m sorry I couldn’t make it – I loved the trend alert, Sarah! I’ve noticed stones just about everywhere lately too.
