Somme Many Skincare Choices, What’s a Girl to Do?

Posted by Denice at 9:15 am

As I enter my early 30s (yikes, it hurts to say that), I realize that I am in desperate need for a good skincare regimen. I have never really used a formal skincare program. I wash my face in the shower and use cleansing towelettes at night, but eye cream and toners were never part of my facial to-do list, until now.

I have been using the Somme Institute 5-step skincare program for the past 4 weeks and I would just like to say, I am hooked! I can’t believe how nice my skin looks. I have noticed a bit more oiliness than before, but I attribute that to better hydration.

Somme Institute 5-step skincare program

The 5-step system for the Somme Institute skincare line consists of:

1- Nourishing Cleanser (this is a non-foaming gel)
Deep cleans without irritation or over-drying. Preps the face for steps 2, 3, 4, & 5. Use in the morning and night.
2- Transport pads (saturated cotton pads)
Gently exfoliates with AHA and BHA, promotes resiliency, hydration and cell renewal. Use in the morning and night.
3- Serum (highly concentrated stabilized vitamin C gel)
Improves skin elasticity, evens skin tone, softens skin, and helps build collagen. Eliminates redness associated with acne. Use in the morning and night.
4- A-bomb Moisturizer (light weight moisturizing cream)
High concentration of advanced forms of vitamins A & E, quickly and easily absorbed, speeds cell renewal to reveal flawless skin, visibly reduces fine lines and wrinkles, helps treat and prevent acne. Use in the morning and night.
5- Double Defense Cream with SPF 30+ (moisturizing sun block)
Protects from broad spectrum UVA/UVB rays and combines free radical scavengers and anti-inflammatory agents with parasol 1789. It is waterproof and perfect for the whole body. Use in the morning only.
6- Eye Cream (so it’s really 6 steps)
Delivers intense hydration to the eye area, reduces puffiness and dark circles by increasing microcirculation, firms and strengthens loose and sagging skin with continued use. Use in the morning and night.

(All of these products, except for the Double Defense cream with SPF 30+, contain MDT5. According to the Somme Institute Web site: “MDT5, or Molecular Dispersion Technology 5, is a revolutionary breakthrough in the science of skincare. It is a non-prescription blend of five highly engineered vitamin compounds that penetrate deep within the skin without losing potency when exposed to air or light. It is this complex formula that enables high concentrations of vitamins to infiltrate aging and damaged skin cells while maintaining therapeutic function.”)

At first, I thought, “5 steps! I will never be able to keep that up!” Much to my surprise, it is not that difficult. I actually looked forward to using the line because my skin felt so nice after applying it.

After reading up on the Somme Institute, I found that their products have been clinically proven to treat moderate to severe acne, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reverse sun damage, lighten brown spots (one I am definitely looking forward to), and improve skin tone. And, since I have been using it for the last 4 weeks, I can say with confidence…YES, my skin’s appearance has improved. I have less redness in my cheek area and the texture is smoother. Even though Somme Institute is a little on the pricey end, it they are products I will not be without!

I have used the Talika Instant Beauty and Vital Oils Anti wrinkles. I have tried every product out there and I keep going back to Talika. I love how it gets rid of my dark eye circles and keeps my wrinkles in check. Give it a try, I bet you will love it too!
