Want to feel glamorous and get a one-of-a-kind gift for your new husband? No, I’m not talking about getting some sort of cosmetic procedure before your wedding day. How about some photos meant for his eyes only? A new trend among young brides these days is Boudoir Photography. This type of photography allows the groom to glimpse a more sensual side of his bride.

Most woman love to feel beautiful and glamorous, and some get breast augmentation, liposuction or tummy tuck surgery in order to achieve that feeling. But if you’re not sure about undergoing a plastic surgery procedure, why not give this a try?
The most important thing to consider when looking into this type of photography is the actual photographer. It’s extremely important that you feel comfortable with him/her in order to attain the look you want. Just as you would carefully research a plastic surgeon before
a procedure, be sure to get plenty of information about your particular photographer. Along with inquiring about price, here are some questions you may want to ask your photographer:
• Have you ever done, or do you currently do this type of photography?
• May I see your portfolio? (You wouldn’t get a nose job, “rhinoplasty,” without seeing before and after photos would you?)
• Will you have an assistant? Can I bring a friend or family member? (Some brides find that bringing a friend or family member helps them relax)
• How long will the photo session take? How long will it take to get my prints? ( If you want them for the day of the wedding be sure to allow enough time for processing)
• Do I need to bring anything? Or will you provide assistance with wardrobe, makeup, hair, etc? (If you have something in particular you want to wear, such as your veil or honeymoon attire, be sure to bring it)
• Will this be done in a studio? Could we do this at another location? (Many brides feel more comfortable in their own homes)
Some wedding photographers offer this in their wedding packages; check with him/her to see if this is the case. If not, you’ll have to look for another photographer that can provide you with this type of photography.
Be sure to get all your questions answered prior to your photo shoot. Communication with your photographer is important in order to get the look you desire. You’ll want to be as prepared as you can in order to get the perfect photo(s) for your new hubby!
One key factor is to relax. This is your shining moment to look absolutely fabulous, and your groom is sure to appreciate this personal and unique gift.

Turn your photos into a personal book, calendar or just have a couple printed out and framed. Whichever way you choose to use your photographs, you’re sure to get the response you wanted from your new hubby.
Would you consider this gift for your groom?

Well my hubby likes me the way I am, but all I have to say is thank goodness for photoshop and the like. After giving birth to number two just three weeks ago it will be a LONG time before I am comfortable enough with my body (stretch marks and all) to do shots like this. I would love to eventually (before I get so old that they would be looked at as geriatric porn). So lets hope I am comfortable sooner than later. Besides, I don’t think my homeowners insurance covers blinding the poor photographer with my lumpy figure. (I kid!) Anyone who knows me would tell you I am comfy walking around in the buff no matter what shape I am in OR who is in the room, just so long as there isn’t proof! Anyone need a work out buddy? I am suddenly feeling motivated! Thanks Jen!

I would like to do that just for fun!!! Forget getting married, can’t I just do it for myself to feel sexy?
Very interesting blog!

If my man wanted to get hitched and didn’t mind some stranger seeing me half naked, I would give a lil boudoir book to my groom

I have definitely considered it - even registered with a local Intimate Photographer who sends out promos but I have yet to get the nerve to do so. Maybe, if I’m feeling sexy enough with my baby bump I’ll go this summer.
I know my Hunny will love it and for some reason since the baby bump has begun to grow he finds my belly very sexy - odd I think but cool.

It’s awesome to see so many confidant ladies out there! I think it’s a pretty cool idea for a wedding gift or even an anniversary gift. But as Sara mentioned, every woman wants to feel sexy for herself! As for my mommy-to-be…I’m sure those pictures are going to AMAZING! Congratulations!
Thanks for all the comments!
