Not to be biased, but my favorites were the two written by ME
I really enjoyed getting to work with such an awesome site, and I look forward to more in the future!
June 26, 2008 at 2:37 pm
My favorite was “Dress Your Age” by Jennifer. I’m in my twenties, and it’s good to know that as I age I can still be fashionable. And I totally agree with keeping some to the imagination and not baring too much skin. What’s the fun in that?
June 26, 2008 at 2:40 pm
I liked “A Little Sex and a Whole Lotta City” by Mellori. I loved that movie, but even more I loved the fashionable shoes!

I have to say that “Dress Your Age”, is one of my favorites as well. Just because we get older, doesnt mean that our fashion sense has to stay old. In my early thirties, I still like to look fab but sophisticated as well.

I agree with ( dress your age). I sometimes see older women wearing tight pants, just dosn’t look right, unless of course, they have the perfect body then they wouldn’t look their age at all. Fresh, natural looking skin helps, to much make-up and you look like a clown, which just adds to your age.

I love the entire forum blog, all have been relevant to me and my needs.
But the one that stands out the most is the entries about wrinkle products. I wanted to be sure of reviews of different products before i spent a lot of money. The posters have been very helpful with their reviews. Thank you all very much for a wonderful website.

I have 2 actually out of the personal stories. First would be Jacquie’s Personal Story: “I Want My Pre-Pregnancy Body Back!” Every single mom out there now how that feels and how to relate to it. The second would be Would You Trash Your Wedding Dress? I loved because its so blunt and practical why let the dress hang in the closet for years when you can have fun in the now!

I love beauty in real life, because that is me. I am 38 years old and have 2 children, 4 and 6, plus a very busy lifestyle. I want to look great without thinking about it too much or spending too much! THe segment on eyeliner was especially helpful, as I have problems with oily skin causing terrible raccoon eyes. Thanks, and Happy Anniversary!

I would have to “dress your age”. i have been going through a rough time lately with a serious medical condition. After reading that article it made me feel a lot better about myself and less self conscience about what my style.
June 26, 2008 at 3:36 pm
The Face Shapes (& Haircut Mistakes) was the most beneficial to me. I had hair almost to my waist, saw this article, went to my stylist and have loved my new “do” ever since. Thanks!

I liked “dress your age” by Jennifer, as well. My thoughts are: if you’ve already worn it in another decade, you probably shouldn’t be wearing it again.

Happy Anniversary!

June 26, 2008 at 3:39 pm
There are so many favorites, it is hard to list just one, but I would have to say that the most informative and impacting on me was the Dress your Age. I’m almost 35, and for a while, I was committing fashion suicide! I felt that I was too old to dress fashionably. But thanks to the article, I am now dressing fashionably, and age appropriate, and best of all, I didn’t have to sacrifice my own comfort for fashion. This site has been a eye-opening experience.
Kerrin
June 26, 2008 at 3:40 pm

June 26, 2008 at 3:45 pm
“Dress Your Age” by Jennifer, was my favorite. I’m 40ish, and I see people all the time trying to dress like they are still in their teens. I can still be fashionable wearing clothes that are for my age. Actually, I think I look very good for my age. And as for as showing to much skin, well to me it only makes you look trashy and cheap when you bare it all.
Barbara Baker
June 26, 2008 at 3:45 pm
I’d have to agree with Lindsay with the best being “A little sex and a whole lot of city”. That was a really good one.

Lauren
June 26, 2008 at 3:45 pm
I also like “dress your age” because it tells you how to dress geared towards your age. Too many older people try to dress younger with tight clothes and it just doesn’t look good.
Rachel
June 26, 2008 at 3:46 pm
I liked “Dress Your Age” because being a younger woman myself, I want to educate myself on acceptable fashion for all age groups so I don’t embarrass myself in later years.

I liked the Redpoint and Fatima Olive article, because living in Alaska, the only way I get exposure to great new cosmetic lines is by reading your articles. I’m definately looking forward to trying out some Redpoint products ASAP, especially the ‘Blushwhip.’ cosmetics that are good for your skin, AND great quality makeup–sounds like a winning combination to me!
June 26, 2008 at 3:48 pm

I love, love, love Sarahs handbag of the month…I am a purse junkie but cannot afford to indulge in my addiction often (if at all) and I love to lust over the newest bag of the month and imagine me owning it! I only recently joined the Beauty Chat Blog but I have read a few of the recent articles that were posted. I really enjoyed “Massage Benefits on Beauty and Health” (6-13-08). I wish I had more $$ for routine massages because I am a firm believer that they help and heal. A friend of mine is a LMT and she promotes the benefits of massage therapy quite often. She just recently gave me some much needed advice on how to work with my shoulder muscles and bones in order to alleviate some severe pain I’ve been experiencing. It works! So, to all those that dedicate themselves to massage therapy… I salute you!!

I am pretty new to this site but it has been a blast reading editor and user reviews of products before I make purchases. Therefore my favorite articles are those that involve reviewing products. For example, Editor’s 12 Lowest-Rated Products is a good heads up to be skeptical of the listed products.
I also have enjoyed the worst celebrity hairstyles, just good for a giggle!

THANK YOU. I NEVER KNEW ABOUT THIS UNTIL I READ IT ON YOUR SITE. IT IS TRULY WONDERFUL FOR AGING SKIN LIKE MINE.

I not only enjoy sharing my opinion on various products that I have tried, I love the stories and views of others. Thanks for letting me be a part of it all.

I really enjoyed the “Dress Your Age” by Jennifer because it gave me a little insight into how to look fashionable but still look my age. Being in my mid 20’s I am always struggling to dress the way I like but remain professional at work. I enjoy that I do not have to give up being comfortable to be fashionable or sexy.

“dress your Age” was a total favorite. It’s nice to know that as we get older we dont’ have to dress like a kid or like an old lady to look nice.

My favorite is “Dress Your Age”. I’m 46, but it bugs me to see women my age dress like they are 20. It just doesn’t work, and nobody will tell them! Please ladies, dress smart and fashionable, but try to tone down showing so much skin ![]()

Dress your age for sure, too many of us in our 40’s either try to compete with our teenage daughters or the other extreme, too matronly and sloppy.I was glad for ideas that real women can use to look pulled together and fresh.

Dress Your Age is definately a very appropriate article at this time of aging baby boomers. Baby boomers seem to have trouble growing older gracefully.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but I liked the Dress Your Age article. I am 45 and some of my clothes tend toward too young and some too old. This was a good reality check.

HGate to be redundant but I would have to also go with Dress Your Age

I really enjoyrd the DRESS YOUR AGE article. Women sometimes have a hard time realizing what is age appropriate for your 16 year old daughter is not appropriate for a 40 year old. Thank you for the heads up!!!

Definately dress your age. Women look so rediculous when they dress like a teenager and look like a grandmother.

One of the best times I’ve enjoyed recently was the Shecky’s Girls Night Out in Atlanta. Your article also did justice to all the exciting products and services available to the “girls [on their] night out.” I’ve already purchased my tickets for this year’s event in October.

I love the one about dressing your age. I’m 36 and I’ve had my mother openly criticize women who show “too much leg” etc. The article made me feel more confident! I also loved the review of SATC because I wanted to make sure it was worth seeing before I went!

“Dress Your Age” has to be my very favorite.I’m 68 and definitely know that I have no business wearing any of the cute things meant for younger women. I’ve seen too many women who need to read “Dress Your Age” and perhaps purchase a new full length mirror.A woman can look terrific at any age but she should definitely wear whats appropriate for her age.

“Dress Your Age” was great! I’m in my 30’s now, so it helped me realize while I may not be a kid anymore and can’t dress like one, I can still look good!

My favorite blogs left me thinking: If I dress my age, cut my hair so that is suits my face, and get my own mommy makeover, I have hit the JACKPOT!!!
