During the Total Beauty blog summit in May, Leeann and I were introduced to this fabulous cosmetic line: Redpoint. Redpoint comes in sassy red packaging and looks super chic, and since I am a huge fan of packaging, it was love at first sight. But, Redpoint goes way beyond its packaging. In fact, the brand is taking cosmetics in a whole new direction.

Because of Redpoint’s Chromactive Technology, it is able to push the makeup’s performance to a completely new level. Each product contains specialized ingredients that work behind the scenes to help improve the look and feel of your skin. Are you looking for that natural, youthful glow? Well, look no further!
One of the memorable experiences at the Total Beauty summit was when Leeann and I had the privilege of meeting the artistic director of Redpoint (AKA the Wonder Woman of Beauty), Fatima Olive. Fatima is a professional makeup artist, cosmetologist and esthetician. Her philosophy is best described as “Empowering women through beauty.” She has said before, “I believe that every woman possesses truly unique and beautiful qualities. They just don’t know how to showcase them. The right product, applied in the right place, with the right techniques, can transform anyone and bolster their self-confidence.”
I love Fatima’s outlook on beauty, and how makeup is a very powerful tool. I recently had a chance to ask Fatima for some beauty tips:
Denice: Summer is here, what is your “must-have” pick from Redpoint?
Fatima: My must-have for summer from Redpoint is our Airbrush Effects Blushwhip in Glow.
It’s a unique airfusion technology that creates an ultra lightweight feel and an incredible lit-from-within glow on the skin.
D: I love the Conga eyeliner, what do you feel makes it so unique?
F: First of all, the crème to powder formula that glides on and blends effortlessly and then becomes non transferable (it literally stays put). Second, the beautiful combination of pigments creates a truly universal color.

D: How did you get into the beauty industry?
F: I became fascinated by makeup when I was rather young — watching my older sister apply her makeup (eyeliner, false lashes, etc.), it was magical!!!
D: As a professional makeup artist, what is the number one product every girl should have?
F: A volumizing black mascara. It is the easiest way to transform the eyes without looking like you are wearing a lot of makeup. Plus, it makes you look awake, more youthful, and sexier. It turns up the volume when you speak with your eyes.
D: Is there a makeup tip that you can offer our readers?
F: For summer, my makeup tip is: don’t overdo. Keep it simple, fresh, dewy, and don’t forget the SPF everyday!!!!!

Wow, great interview. I am definately going to look into this cosmetic line. I too am a sucker for packaging, but I am even more intrigued by cosmetics that look natural and have staying power. You often have to choose one or the other! Ok, well, I’m off to check out that Conga eyeliner! Great post Denice!

Right now Redpoint is available online at Dermstore, Redpoint Beauty, QVC, and soon it will be at plastic surgeons/dermatologist offices. At this time, they are not available in any standard retail stores.

Really like this blog about Redpoint, as I have tried their anti-aging products from QVC and they give you what they say they will. The products work great and I loved what Denice had to say about Redpoint. I am 50 years “young” and do NOT show my age thanks to makeup and skincare like Redpoint and a few others. Most people guess me around 40 maximum. I take great care of my skin and try to stay up on the latest and best products for anti-aging. I do not intend on having any “work” done to my face, so I want to grow old gracefully with the best products, skincare and makeup available.
Thanks! Melodie Aultman-Morris

I have to add a note to this blog, first, I honestly love Redpoint cosmetics, In the many years that I had use makeup (and I am 61 years old), using this cosmetic line I look fresh and younger for my age, it’s not a miracle make up but everybody tells me that I look great and that’s what counts for me, I always been very concern with my appearance, and using makeup for so many years I can tell what is good, I’m pleased that Fátima introduced me to Redpoint cosmetics.
I didn’t know that you watching me applying makeup was going to impact you so much and get you were you are right now, I am proud of you and I love you little sis.
I am Mary Santos, Fatima’s older sister.

One of my friends introduced me to Redpoint. I had not seen her in awhile but when I did she looked amazing. She stated she had changed her makeup but nothing else.
Fatima we admire what you do for women…Empowerment through Beauty is one of the best blessings you can give us, keep the products coming and we will keep getting more beautiful. THANK YOU….
