The Hydrating Power of Tyra Skin Care

Posted by Leeann at 8:12 am

As we learn more and more about the importance of keeping our skin healthy, many of the Beauty Chat ladies have started trying various facial products. There have been quite a few skin care reviews before this one, and there will certainly more to come.

This blog features Tyra Skin Care, a brand that’s all about moisturizing. The company’s Web site claims: “4 simple steps, twice a day is ALL it takes to have the beautiful healthy skin that you were meant to have.” The four steps that they speak of include a cleanser, normalizer, surface moisturizer, and deep moisturizer. And there is actually an additional phase, a hydrating skin mist. So really, think of it as a five part process.

Tyra Deep Moisturizer

I’m lazy when it comes to skin care. I just use facial wipes to remove my makeup and rarely actually wash; I know it’s really bad! So, I admit that I was intimidated by all of the products that Tyra offers. However, I decided that this was the perfect time to get my skin into shape, and began using this skin care system.

The five steps are pretty simple. The first is a wash, followed by three leave-on products, and ending with a misting spray. The entire process only takes about five minutes to complete.

When using Tyra, here are some things I noticed:

• There isn’t an overpowering smell
• The moisturizers are a bit thick, and feel similar to sunscreen
• You can immediately feel your skin becoming more moist

Because I have normal skin, the extra moisture that Tyra provides made my skin oily. I ended up cutting the amount of steps down to prevent this from happening. Now I only use the face wash.

To get an idea of how these products work for someone with dry skin, I also had my mom test it out. She reported that while some of the products did feel thick, they eliminated the flaking that she was experiencing around her nose.

I think that Tyra is best-suited for those in need of moisturizing. As the summer activities become more frequent and my face begins to dry out, I think I will be in need of the hydrating effects that this skin care system provides.

I have been a faithful Tyra user for years and I absolutely love it. It’s the only skin care line that I’ve used that actually does what it says. I don’t know how it all works, but as long as it makes people think I’m 10 years younger than I am, I’ll keep using it.

Tyra is not only an excellent facial skin product, but I used the Phase III Moisturizer for an allergic irritation on my hand, and by the next morning the redness had faded away and the itching had stopped. After a few more applications, the irritation was completely gone.

My mother used it to fade a scar she had from a burn. And my sister used it on insect bites. Both got remarkable results.
