Madonna and Plastic Surgery: Much too Much?

Posted by Elana at 3:21 pm

So when I think of Madonna, I think: America’s material girl, Vogue-ing, her cowboy hat, her fabulous muscular body, and how lucky her kids are to have such a talented mom, and…how lucky Justin Timberlake is to have worked with her!

Madonna throughout the years

I also think of how punk rock this pop star has always been; Madonna has always played by her own rules and knows what it means to make a statement.

Now, having obviously gone through some sort of cosmetic facial procedures, she appears gorgeous and age-defying, yes. But is this the Madonna I always used to “cherish?” Dare I say now…she may be a plastic surgery conformist? Looks are everything in Hollywood and in mega-stardom, I don’t care what anyone says. So, the fact that La Isla Bonita wants to look the best she can – do I blame her? No.

Madonna, plastic surgery?

(Madonna, plastic surgery?)

But please, Madonna, there is such a thing as cosmetic surgery addiction! I hope that you never appear other than yourself, because you know you will always have true blue fans who will always enjoy you – with or without a facelift.

I agree, I wouldn’t blame Madonna in the least for having work done (can you imagine an obviously aged Madonna?), but this pic reveals some unattractive results from some unecessary procedures. Facelift? Sure. Cheek implants? She looked better without them.

I agree Brook. If I had cameras in my face 24-7, I don’t know how I could handle AGING in front of the camera. What a bizarre world we live in, eh?

This is a great post with great images and some time for reflexion. Accepting that we are beautiful regardless of our ages, at every stage in life we are different but still pretty. Mabye being so popular makes it harder to accept that your age and your look have changed. :)

In all fairness I think that sometimes the photo is not reflective of the face.
In this photo she does not look good ,but then I have seen recent photos in other magazines and she looked great.
It is tough being in the public eye 24/7
