As an active, working woman, my facial skin is exposed to a number of elements throughout the day. Whether work, playing with my dog, or vacation time, my makeup has always been put to the test.

For the last six years, I had yet to find a foundation that could withstand my daily routine, and then I was given the opportunity to try Alexis Vogel Cosmetics. Sampling the AVC Crème Foundation in Latte and the AVC Retexturizing Face Primer for just over two weeks, I was able to see a noticeable difference in the appearance of my skin.
By first applying the AVC Retexturizing Face Primer, I was able to smooth fine lines, minimize pore size, apply an SPF 20 to my skin, and extend the wear time of my foundation. Afterward, by applying a small amount of the AVC Crème Foundation to a sponge, I was able to blend and smooth the foundation onto my skin for a refreshed look that lasted throughout the day.
Enduring a walk through the famed biker rally Sturgis, 100-degree temperatures, a humid hike through Mount Rushmore, and a lighting storm, my AVC Crème Foundation provided me with flawless coverage. Others even noticed a difference in my skin, but could not tell that I had foundation applied to my face. All the while, I was happy to maintain my secret.
Founded by renowned makeup artist to the stars, Alexis Vogel, AVC was recently taken over by Makeup Connection and has helped me show off the beauty of my skin. A reliable foundation, I have been satisfied with the performance of the AVC system, and so have my fellow Beauty Chatters. Also trying out the AVC Crème Foundation for two weeks, here is what my they had to say about the product:

“At first glance, the AVC Crème Foundation looked as if it’d go on thick and appear too unnatural. However, after trying the product out, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it goes on smooth and provides heavy coverage, without looking caked on. You can’t really tell that you’re wearing face makeup with AVC until you look in the mirror and don’t see any visible blemishes,” ~Leeann
“I am very fond of my mineral makeup so, I wasn’t too sure how I would feel about using the AVC Crème Foundation, as it is a cream based makeup. I feared it would feel heavy on my face, but to my surprise the makeup felt very light. When applied, I felt well-polished, so I like to use the AVC Crème Foundation on special occasions, like a night out on the town,” ~ Stephanie

Providing women with radiant skin, the AVC Crème Foundation may be what you are looking for to help you attain the look you desire. And, should you need assistance applying the foundation, the Makeup Connection offers a tutorial by Alexis Vogel, which provides pointers for applying makeup, such as:
• Always start with clean dry skin; do not use a moisturizer.
• Apply the foundation by dabbing it on strategic spots on your face; under your eyes, on your cheeks, chin, nose, forehead, ears, and neck.
• Using the sponge wedge, smooth the foundation out evenly with a light stroking motion. Working away from the center of your face, eyes first, followed by your cheeks, and then the chin. Remember, apply a little foundation at first. For those areas that need it, you can always go back and add a little more foundation.
• Make sure you apply foundation to all of the visible skin on your face, ears, and neck. You want to apply it as lightly as possible and blend, blend, blend, working it into your skin. Apply concealor to those blemishes which are still showing through your foundation.
• Unlike liquid foundations, this exclusive crème provides extra coverage for a flawless looking complexion that won’t fade away.

Thanks for the make-up tips Sarah! I definitely would like to try this make-up line. I am not a big fan of make-up, because I don’t like feeling it on my skin, I have been looking for a foundation that is light, yet still provides coverage.
Great post!

Thanks Sara! That is how I am too. I don’t really like to wear foundation, or have it look like I am wearing foundation. But, if you are looking for one that provides great coverage and feels light, I definitely would recommend AVC. =)

ladies, this sounds like a wonderful makeup to clear up quite a few “makeup” questions. but i have one. how does this one hold up on the collar of a white blouse? this is where i have had a BIG problem. ive been trying to find one that stays on my neck and not on my collar.

Pat, while I had thoroughly tested out the AVC Crème Foundation, I cannot say that I tested it on collars. During my experience with the product I only wore t-shirts without collars, and had no problem. Although, one day during the testing of the product I laid my forehead down firmly against my boyfriend’s white t-shirt and noticed that the makeup left a small mark. Even though I cannot say for sure how the makeup would withstand against a collar, I would just recommend to always be very careful when wearing foundation, and make sure that it dries fully. I hope that helps some! =)
