A tragic day in the history of the United States — and the entire world, for that matter —September 11 evokes a spectrum of emotions for people each year. Most of us still remember exactly where we were and what we were doing on that fateful day in 2001, and we will never forget.

Today will be marked with memorials and moments of silence at ground zero (the World Trade Center), the Pentagon, and across the country. And while none of us can change what happened, we can look back on those who are no longer with us with fondness and remembrance.
