For as long as I can recall, I have had an obsession with lip balm, lip-gloss, and anything else related to my lips. As an avid Carmex and Chapstick user, I’m always up for trying out new items. Which is why I was thrilled to check out the Kiss My Face SOS products, Sheer Organic Shine gloss and Sheer Organic Shimmer tints.
Coming in six shades in both the glosses and tints – Pear, Opal, Amethyst, Topaz, Ruby, Garnet – Sheer Organic Shimmer and Sheer Organic Shine are a great addition to your makeup bag.
These products are environmentally friendly; they’re 100% natural/91% organic, contain no parabens, SLS, phthalates, synthetic colors or flavors, and are not tested on animals. Plus, they contain vitamins A and E to repair and protect your lips. What more could you ask for?
My fellow Beauty Chatters also tried these awesome new glosses and tints, here’s what they had to say about them:
Dre: I used Kiss My Face Sheer Organic Shine and Sheer Organic Shimmer both in Opal. I tried them both alone first, then used them on top of a darker shade of lip color. I preferred them both used the second way (on top of a darker shade of lip color). Both products helped condition my lips, leaving them feeling soft and smooth and not the least bit sticky.
Stephanie: I am a fan of the Sheer Organic Shimmer in Garnet. I love the color and how it gives my lips a refreshing feeling.
Jacquie: I tried Sheer Organic Shine in Garnet and Sheer Organic Shimmer in Ruby; both products feel wonderful on my lips. They moisturize as well as cool and add a splash of color. I was very happy to see that the color was not as bright as it appears in the tubes. I will be getting more in different shades.
Sara: I tried the sheer organic shine (pearl) and I liked it since the color was subtle and gave a little shimmer (nothing too dramatic). I don’t like flashy lip glosses and so the color and texture of this one definitely fit my taste. I also liked how it gave my lips a cooling feeling after applying and the smell is nice too. =)
Elana: The Sheer Organic Shine lip-gloss by Kiss My Face is the next best thing to Chapstick as a nice moisturizer. The mineral color complements my skin tone (a lighter-skinned African-American), as it is a subtle shine on its own in addition to adding a sophisticated look when worn on top of my bright, red lipsticks. Using just as little as a teardrop will brighten up a person’s face! Plus, I don’t get the white crusty look on the side of my lips — which I tend to grossly get with other lip glosses — when hours have gone by. Five stars!
Beauty Chat is giving three lucky readers a chance to try out the Kiss My Face SOS products for themselves. Leave a comment below telling us how you keep your lips kissable and we’ll pick three winners on March 2nd!

I keep my lips kissable but exfoliating them and keeping them moisturized. I also use lip products with SPF during the day!
But when I go out I make sure to dress them up in a sexy gloss!

I stick with a vitamin E stick as a base before any lip color or gloss. The ‘E’ stick really helps heal my ‘winter’ lips (dry and cracked…) and helps keep them away from too much sun in the summer. About once a week (maybe 2 wks if I’m too busy) I’ll take some white sugar and give my lips a good rub to exfoliate.
It’s not much, but my husband likes the soft results, and I like that my lip stick feels smoother =)

I slather lip balm whenever I can. I just love the feeling of having supple lips.

I use a lip balm frequently to keep them moisturized and I try very hard not to lick my lips. When I forget is usually the time I go through my lizard lips stage, then I have to break out the moisturizer at night before I go to sleep.

I’m really low maintenence so I prefer lip balm or gloss even when I dress up. Although, I do try to wear more glossy or sparkly gloss when I occasionally dress up. Once a week I gently exfoliate my lips with a soft toothbrush or my St. Ives face scrub. I wear chapstick all day long and when I go to sleep, but during the day at school I wear chapstick that has SPF in it. My anytime favorites are Dew Kiss by Avon and Blistex Silk and Shine (with spf 15). My favorites for dressing up are Sephora brilliant lip gloss in Rosy Glow and Philosophy flavored lip shine in Coconut.

My lips are ultra dry, so I keep them kissable by drinking loads of water and religiously applying lip balm. Gloss is essential when going out to make them shine

I am a total lip balm junkie. I exfoliate with a mixture of hoey and brown sugar and a wet washcloth and then smooth on the lip balm. Seems like I try every new one that comes out! Guess I’m just addicted…..

I love love love Smith’s Rosebud Salve. It’s got a great silky texture that makes lips feel hydrated.
Clinique makes a great repairwear lip balm that helps heal fine lip lines, but I love the moisture that it gives during the windy season. Their Superbalm lipbalm is good too, but it some of the colors aren’t very pigmented and they tend to all look the same after a while.
I like Burt’s Bee’s….I’m addicted to the burn! DuWop makes a product called LipVenom that burns and makes lips plump for those who lack luscious lips!
Estee Lauder is known for their signature hydrating lipsticks. The colors are variable and the moisture is insane!
Aveda’s glosses are great because their made with a breath freshener, love that!
I’m a lip junkie.
It’s like I got ADD of the mouth

i love kiss my face products! i haven’t tried these yet, but i’ve been hearing great things about them & the colors look really cute (a nice range). i use kiss my face cleanser, it works amazing and is very gentle and it also smells like orange creamsicles!
to keep my lips hydrated i try to keep product off of them, i find that most products make my lips even drier or accentuate the dry-ness. if i do use product, i opt for ones with natural ingredients and no preservatives/synthetics, etc.. products like kiss my face!
