In today's world where so many families have two parents working (or single parent working) the children are often left to fend for themselves for a few hours after school every day. It is luxuriously soft and gentle on my skin. No irritation, which is of course a benefit. Also, I was in JROTC as a freshmen in high school. I actually substituted my P.E. class with JROTC! Ironic that I was on the varsity softball team at the time, so it wasn't like I didn't like being active. Who knows -- maybe there was something about marching the halls when others were in class that I enjoyed. Unfortunately, we didn't do nearly the volunteer work that you did. Wish we had though.
