FLABuLESS Contest!

Posted by Jennifer at 8:20 am

How many times have you had to change what you’re wearing before going out? If you’re like most women, it probably takes about four outfit transformations before you’re good to go. One of the most troublesome areas for women of all ages is the upper arm. Not everyone has beautifully sculpted biceps and triceps like Jessica Biel.

If you’re looking for a way to slim down those “flabby” arms without having to undergo a plastic surgery procedure, such arm lift surgery, we’ve got just what you need. Allow us to introduce FLABuLESS – the first-ever arm shape wear for real women. Say goodbye to the unflattering “bulge” you see when wearing your favorite shirts. More »

Happy Halloween!

Posted by Jennifer at 7:54 am

It’s my favorite time of year again…Halloween! There are so many things I love about October 31st — scary movies, fun costumes, yummy treats, and the start of the holiday season. On this fabulous day, children (and adults) dress up in scary, funny, silly, and just plain weird costumes, and head out for a night of festivities. Kids usually partake in trick-or-treating around the neighborhood, and adults head over to the killer party down the street.

But where did it all start? That’s something that I’ve always been curious about but have never looked into. I just recently found out that Halloween was introduced to North America in the 19th century when the Irish immigrants came over. More »

Seriously Safe and Satisfying Nail Polish by nubar

Posted by Leeann at 7:53 am

Nail polish is a cosmetics item that most women, and some men, can’t get enough of. Many of us paint away, unaware of the repercussions that the polish may have on our health. But, did you know that almost all nail lacquers contain Formaldehyde, Toluene, and Phthalate (DBP) — chemicals that are carcinogenic and can cause serious health effects?

In a time when people are trying to be more “green,” cosmetics companies are beginning to understand that consumers expect more from the brands that they buy from. nubar is a line that was created with the idea that providing healthy alternatives is a must. More »

Fashion Found at The Runway Boutique

Posted by Stephanie at 3:50 pm

Fall is quickly approaching and my wardrobe is much need of some updates. Always looking for great deals, I stumbled upon a new boutique that’s full of high-end fashions without the high-end prices.  I asked my fellow Beauty Chatter, Leeann, to accompany me to the grand opening of The Runway Boutique.

Owner Claudia Prado opened an online boutique in 2005 selling chic clothing to women worldwide.  Last Saturday, after conquering Web site retail, Claudia held the grand opening of The Runway Boutique in the city of Brea in Orange County, California. While shopping, I had a chance to meet Claudia herself.  More »

Handbag of the Month- Best Evening Clutch

Posted by Sarah at 3:19 pm

Recently, I attended dinner with my boyfriend, Sean, and came upon a revelation—a large handbag and a nice restaurant do not mix well.

Usually, I find myself toting around my camera, brush, face makeup, and much more, but I have discovered that on an outing to dinner, I only need the essentials. So, rather than carrying around a clunky, heavy handbag that is filled with unnecessary items, I have decided to expand my ever-growing handbag collection with clutches.

For this reason, I have selected the Lauren Merkin Louise Glittered Linen Clutch as my September Handbag of the Month. More »

A Review of “The Women”

Posted by Sara at 4:11 pm

After watching “The Women” (which premiered on September 12th) with my fellow Beauty Chatter, Jennifer, two words came to mind: women empowerment.

The film is a remake of the 1939 classic film “Catfight” and is directed by Diane English. Having an all-female cast and production crew; starring some of Hollywood’s top women actresses, Meg Ryan, Annette Bening, Debra Messing, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Eva Mendes, Bette Midler, and Candice Bergen, this movie was made for women, by women. Stacey Provines, owner and creator of TINte Cosmetics, is on the search to find a fresh and unique face for her cosmetic line and new product, Match Book.  Enter “The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency.” Stacey appeared on the Oxygen Channel show, and narrowed the list of models down to three fresh faces Crystal, Xian and Nadia.

The lucky ladies showed up the next day to be glamified, TINte style.  Not only were they there for the Match Book shoot, they were also competing to become the face of TINte Cosmetics for the year.
