It has taken a little getting used to, but I have to say that the Blo & Go is wonderful! I am the type of girl who loves spending a day at the hairdresser’s because I can actually leave with a cute hairstyle. Yet, when I use the round brush while blow-drying at home, I still feel like my hair is flat. However, now that I have the Blo & Go, it is getting easier and easier to style my hair. This device is so flexible that it allows me to use both hands while blow-drying my hair.
What is the Blo & Go you ask?

When it comes to my hair, I am obsessed. Although, ironically, I do not think twice about the shampoo and conditioner I am using. I am one of those types of people who pick up whatever is on sale, and if it is buy one, get one free, even better! Although, I am all about the deals, sometimes that poses a problem: my hair is always a mess! It is damaged from straightening, blow-drying, and dying, and it gets frizzy easily, considering I already have naturally wavy/frizzy hair. So, when I got a chance to try a hair care line by Amazon Beauty ™ called Rahua ® shampoo and conditioner, I was definitely excited.

As I brush my hair after I shower, I notice that a lot of it ends up on my brush. This has been happening for quite some time but I’ve never really thought too much of it. I come from a family with full heads of hair so going bald isn’t something I fear. However, I do fear the day that I see a gray hair. My mom has been dying her hair since she was very young, and while her brothers and sisters have lush mounds of hair, they’re all salt and peppered!

The rising gas prices have really started to cut into my beauty budget. In order to find hair care products that don’t cost me an arm and a leg I have enlisted the help of my fellow Beauty Chatter, Leeann. To be honest, we have tried our fair share of shampoo and conditioners, and there are some pretty good ones out there, but they are pricey.

We needed to find something affordable, and readily accessible. We did not want to have to drive all over town, or pay shipping to get it. Enter our local drug stores. There are mass amounts of hair care products located at these stores that I had no idea existed! Now we just need to find one that really works. More »

My hair is quite important to me, so when I heard Kate Hudson was teaming up with a well-known hair stylist to create an eco-friendly hair care line, I just had to put it on my list of must haves! David Babaii for WildAid consists of hair care products and styling tools that are innovative and eco-friendly. Great, huh? Not only is the packaging made of recyclable materials, but these products are free of sulfates, parabens, and petrochemicals — all damaging to hair.

My new love — AG Hair Cosmetics! Their tag line is “style with substance.” Rightfully stated. Really, these products are amazing. I tried out, and am now an advocate of, their colour savour sulfate-free shampoo and colour savour color protection conditioner.
This two-step process leaves my hair silky smooth, and even gives it some body (hair and body are usually not included in the same sentence when my straight locks are being discussed). Also, it helps prevent my hair from knotting.
I have a horrible time trying to comb through my strands post-wash. Dread is an appropriate description of the state that most shampoos and conditioners leave my hair in. I was super-excited to try out AG’s conditioning mist detangling conditioner; however, since using the shampoo and conditioner, I haven’t had the need. I really only use this product for the wonderful smell that it has. More »

As an individual obsessed with the latest trends in hair color, cut, and style, I am always looking to the latest products to help give my hair the look that the celebrities like Jessica Simpson have.
And with big hair trends creeping up in the fashion and beauty world lately, I was excited to learn of Cibu International’s latest volumizing line of products– “Shang High.” As a woman with thick but not voluminous hair, I have been searching for a product to lift my locks without making them greasy, and the Shang High collection has seemed to be that product!

I love visiting my hairdresser June for a good ‘ol flat iron run-through. She has always smoothed it out with the greatest of ease, and never fails to be amused by me afterwards. Hello – don’t you like to flip your hair over your shoulders in slow motion like those Pantene commercials? OK, well maybe that’s just me.

( “Me with rocker hair — wild and without the use of my flat iron!”)
Really though, for years I just couldn’t straighten my hair myself, nor would I even dare try to do so in the Southern California summertime heat. My mom and I have different hair texture (my mother is Caucasian), so using her cute curling iron back then barely did the trick. Had I known that having the right type of flat iron actually matters, I could have saved nearly $2,500!!! That is the amount I spent on my hair for two years wearing long braids, which was basically my way out of not having to truly put time into doing my hair. More »
