Caffeinated Beverages: To Drink or not to Drink?

Posted by Sara at 1:48 pm

I live on an energy drink or more a day, yet I still feel tired by the end of the day, restlessly tired. I have trouble sleeping and feel fatigued a majority of the time. A lot of people tell me that my energy drinks are bad for me, but I have been drinking a Monster or Rock Star everyday for a couple of years now. I honestly can say I am hooked, or better yet, addicted!

What’s Your Idea of Perfection?

Posted by Jennifer at 12:29 pm

It is commonly assumed that men want to date or marry the “perfect woman” one day. But what exactly does “perfect” mean? When talking about appearance, many think tall, thin, blond, blue eyes, pouty lips, perky breasts, and a toned tush. But then you step into the real world and learn that it’s actually really hard to find this “perfect woman” without her undergoing some kind of plastic surgery.

Many people turn to plastic surgery for enhanced appearances. More »

Goji “GoChi” Juice

Posted by Jennifer at 3:43 pm

Goji Himalayan Goji Juice is made from goji berries and is considered “the most potent natural anti-aging formulation in existence.” Going through a seven-step process in order to get the most out of the berries, it only takes a few ounces of juice a day to help you attain a healthier you in no time.

I have been drinking the new formula of Goji, “GoChi” juice, for about three weeks and already see and feel the great results. I have slept through the night without tossing and turning, and wake up feeling refreshed, even when I only get five hours of sleep. I also noticed that I don’t feel as tired during the day as I used to. All I take is two ounces in the morning and two more at night, that’s it! More »

Going Gray…Now What?

Posted by Jennifer at 8:16 am

As I brush my hair after I shower, I notice that a lot of it ends up on my brush. This has been happening for quite some time but I’ve never really thought too much of it. I come from a family with full heads of hair so going bald isn’t something I fear. However, I do fear the day that I see a gray hair. My mom has been dying her hair since she was very young, and while her brothers and sisters have lush mounds of hair, they’re all salt and peppered!

Mirror, mirror…

Posted by Jennifer at 8:25 am

As a woman, it’s natural to use anything with a decent reflection as a mirror. Nowadays, even men are becoming equally obsessed with shiny surfaces. Why the fascination? Personally, I only look in the mirror twice a day — once to apply my makeup in the morning and the second to take it off at night. I don’t fuss with my hair in the rear view mirror, check my face when I see a window…nothing. Yet I see almost everyone else take a peek every chance made available.

Do you care others see you taking a glance? More »

Wax Appointment for Two

Posted by Jennifer at 8:27 am

Just enough primping while maintaining the rugged look.  There are times when we go out with our special guy and notice several women taking a glance at him. But are they admiring your other half, or wondering what on earth you’re doing with him? It could go either way.

In today’s world, men are becoming more conscious of their appearance in all aspects. Not only are they worrying about what to wear, but now they’re taking longer looks in the mirror in order to pick apart every flaw. Perhaps we owe this to our endless fawning over actors like Ryan Reynolds or Matthew McConaughey (my personal favorite). This could be seen as something really great or really annoying.

NUDE Skin Care

Posted by Denice at 4:01 pm

NUDE Skin CareInteresting name, wouldn’t you say? Well, it is more than just a name; it is the philosophy behind Nude skin care. This company creates its products to be biocompatible by using high performance bioavailable ingredients. The focus is that it works with your body’s own biology, so it recognizes it and helps it deliver the intended results.

One question and answer I found particularly interesting on the Nude web site was:

Why do we feed our skin chemicals we would never consider eating?

Movie Review- "The Dark Knight"

Posted by Sarah at 3:58 pm

Over the weekend, my boyfriend Sean, fellow Beauty Chatter Leeann, my brother Greg, and I joined the vast masses of people assembled at theaters across the country to get a chance to see the highly anticipated movie, “The Dark Knight.”

And, after a successful second try of waiting in line for two hours, we were finally fortunate enough to see the movie from the best seats in the house. Packed full of men, women, and children, the movie began with an applaud from theater goers like myself who had waited for what seemed like an eternity for the sequel to “Batman Begins.”
