Jigsaw for Fall 2008

Posted by Leeann at 11:48 am

What do you get when you mix inspirations such as Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Birds,” surrealism, and eccentricity? Jigsaw, a fabulous line that you should take note of! The namesake is a popular boutique that can be found in U.S. cities such as Beverly Hills, San Francisco, and Nashville, along with about 50 locations in the U.K.

Pacifica Solid Perfumes

Posted by Denice at 4:32 pm

I found these handy-dandy, little solid perfumes by Pacifica in a magazine.  I was intrigued by how cute and convenient they seemed and just had to try them out.

According to the packaging, the perfume is comprised of 100% organic and vegan soy and coconut wax base, and are made with natural grain alcohol. They are in a super cute, convenient carrying case and are easy to apply…anywhere…anytime. They are also TSA approved, so there is no need for that pesky zip lock baggie.  Just throw it in your bag and go!

I recently had the opportunity to try 4 of Pacifica’s popular scents.  Here is what the Web site says about them: More »

A Clothing Line to Take Notice of: Sretsis

Posted by Leeann at 3:11 pm

The Autumn/Winter 2008 collection of Sretsis is full of imaginative designs and whimsical pieces, thus the title “Parallel Universe” seems to be quite appropriate.

Developed in 2002 by a trio of Thailand sisters, Sretsis (which translates to sisters backwards) has found a fan in Katy Perry. The current music sensation was spotted in Sretsis at the Serpentine Gallery Summer Party in London last week. Perry’s “Over the Moon” dress is a perfect example of the magical look that the line strives for.

So what do you think? Fun and flirty? Or too over the top for you?

Rediscover The Beauty of Your Skin with AVC Cosmetics

Posted by Sarah at 10:15 am

As an active, working woman, my facial skin is exposed to a number of elements throughout the day. Whether work, playing with my dog, or vacation time, my makeup has always been put to the test.

AVC Retexturizing Face Primer –SPF 20

For the last six years, I had yet to find a foundation that could withstand my daily routine, and then I was given the opportunity to try Alexis Vogel Cosmetics. Sampling the AVC Crème Foundation in Latte and the AVC Retexturizing Face Primer for just over two weeks, I was able to see a noticeable difference in the appearance of my skin. More »

Feel Like You Just Stepped out of the Salon with Blo & Go!

Posted by Stephanie at 1:53 pm

Blo & Go

It has taken a little getting used to, but I have to say that the Blo & Go is wonderful! I am the type of girl who loves spending a day at the hairdresser’s because I can actually leave with a cute hairstyle. Yet, when I use the round brush while blow-drying at home, I still feel like my hair is flat. However, now that I have the Blo & Go, it is getting easier and easier to style my hair. This device is so flexible that it allows me to use both hands while blow-drying my hair.

What is the Blo & Go you ask?

Handbag of the Month- Best New Color

Posted by Sarah at 7:53 am

This fall, designers are spicing up their colors; and to my delight, purple seems to be their poison of choice.

Infatuated with all shades of the color purple, this season’s handbag trend feels like it has been crafted just for me!

That is why, for the August Handbag of the Month, I have selected the Lattington Satchel from MICHAEL by Michael Kors. A cheaper sub-brand of Michael Kors, MICHAEL offers buyers a chance to purchase a fabulous bag from the designer at half the price. More »

Leggings-The New Pants!?

Posted by Sarah at 9:41 am

When it comes to my fashion sense, I like to think of myself as a person who stands outside of the box. Let me clarify, I would define my style as comfortable and chic — yet, in a way, sloppy?

I guess I can say I have a style all my own. Outside of work, I can be regularly seen wearing layers of necklaces, bracelets, scarves, darker makeup, darker clothes, and slip on tennis shoes (my shoes always come untied). I look a bit gothic, punk, grunge, yet girly.

Me by {Me}zhgan ~ Makeup Artist to American Idol

Posted by Denice at 3:40 pm

While relaxing poolside, I like to catch up on my Hollywood gossip by reading People magazine. On one particular day, as I was reading the “Style Watch” section, I came across this super cute makeup. As I read a little more, I saw the segment is on celebrity makeup artist Mezhgan (make up artist on American Idol) and her makeup line Me by {Me}zhgan. I was taken by the little bit of info and immediately starting doing more research!

Me by {Me}zhgan

After looking over her site (and loving all her makeup) I decided to contact her to see if I could get info on the glamour girl behind the brand. I got LUCKY! I went straight to the source, Mezhgan, and we had a great conversation. Here’s some of what we chatted about: More »
